How to shift tasks together

If task A shifts by 8 days, want task B (or multiple, B, C, D...) to shift by
the same no of duration change.

OK, let me see if I understand this. Suppose tasks A, B, C, and D all have
a Duration of 5 days. Are you saying that if task A now has a Duration of 8
days, then you want B, C, and D to have a new Duration of 8 days as well?
If so, this is not possible in Microsoft Project without you manually
changing the Duration of those three tasks. On the other hand, if you are
saying that if task A slips by 8 days, you want the Start and Finish dates
of B, C, and D to slip by 8 days as well, then this is very possible. You
simply need to link those tasks with a Finish To Start (FS) dependency. To
do this, select the tasks that must occur in order and then click the Link
Tasks button on the Standard toolbar. Let us know if this helps.

Thanks much, please allow me to clarify. I meant if task A shifted to 8
days, then it had shifted by 3 days (from 5 day duration.) Similarly, I want
other tasks with different finish dates & durations to shift by this
increment of 3 days. All tasks B, C, D, etc. are dependent on how A moves
from the current state. Or, task A had shifted from Finish Date of 1/1/00
to 1/11/00. Tasks B, C, etc. will all shift by 10 days. (in SF, FS, and
other traditional links, these tasks will maintain the same duration and just
shift Start/Finish dates when A is delayed.) Do you need to use Macro or
somthing to first calculate the differential delay of A to carry over to the
durations of "linked" tasks. Is there a way to automate the task shift move
or link the tasks to shift together?

Well, it looks like you want both the Duration AND the Start/Finish dates to
adjust accordingly. The Start/Finish dates will change automatically, based
on the dependencies you set, but you'd need to use a macro to adjust the
Durations. Hope this helps.
