How to update the office file icon in Windows Explorer?

I recently upgraded Office from 2000 to 2003. The icons of the software (e.g.
Word, Excel) are changed to the new ones, but the icons for the Office files
(e.g. Word document, Excel spreadsheet) in the Windows Explorer didn't
change. What's causing this? How can I update the file icons to the Office
2003 style?
(This issue doesn't cause any problem in operation, but I'm just curious to
find out).

Hi, Chris,
Thanks for your suggestion. I followed the instruction on this article and
changed the Windows color setting to 16 bit and then back to 32 bit (I'm
running Win 2000), but it didn't work... : (
But I didn't fun the VBA code, because I don't have Visual Basic on my PC.
Is there any other solutions?
Thanks.
