How to use nextif function in Word mail merge from Excel?

Please help!
I am merging the data from Excel to Word document. I would like to use the
nextif function to put a group of data record in a word document and another
group of data into a new merge document. I had already use the 'next record'
to show multipe records in the same document. As the group changed, it didn't
go to the new merge document.

which version of word are we dealing with? And are you looking for a programmed
(VBA, like the name of this newsgroup) or a non-macro solution? If the latter,
you'll get a faster reply in the mailmerge fields newsgroup. But you do have to
remember to mention the version number.

Before you do, you might check the "one-to-many" article in the "Special merges"
section of my website's mail merge FAQ. It's possible that contains the answer
you're looking for.

Thank you for your reply. I do appreciate that.

I am working on the Word 2003. I did try to follow the example stated in the
Microsoft knowledge base article Q105888, but it didn't work. The problems
are the "P" and "T" functions which mentioned below in the article:

" Where "P" represents a paragraph mark that pushes the next Project to a
new line, and "t" represents a tab character that aligns the next project
under the previous project."

As I put the "P" and "T", it showed up as hard coded text on the merged
documents. I could not get the page break too.

Please advice.

Where you see P and T in the documentation, press the ENTER resp. the TAB key
(don't type P or T).
