Hyperlinks - Text box Vs Picture

Why is it that when you have a hyperlink from a text box and a hyperlink from
a picture, that the picture's hyperlink will launch a second IE window?

I have a hyperlink on a website that I want to launch from a text box
"Equipment". I also have the same hyperlink that I want to launch to if they
click on the picture of the "equipment" but when they do it launches into a
new IE window. I would like to keep it in the same window and not open
multiple IE windows.

Interesting. Where is the presentation running from? Is it posted on a web
and run within the browser? Or run from a hard drive? Are you hyperlinking
from the text in the text box or the text box itself? Are you adding the
hyperlinks through the hyperlinks dialog window or the Action Settings
window? Is it posted somewhere we can see it? Oh yeah, what version of
PowerPoint?

I am still designing it, so it is here on my hard drive and unavailable for
view. I am hyperlinking for the text box, not the text. I have tried it both
ways, through actions and the hyperlinks and even copying the hyperlink from
the text box to the picture. I am using 2002.

Thanks for any help.

Don't think I could figure it out without seeing the show, but you can copy
the text box and "fill" it with the picture to work around the problem.
