I can't go to page 2 of Power Point document

M

MIZ_CATHY_G.

I was typing a document in PowerPoint and when I finished page 1, I could not
go to page 2. Page 2 came up on screen but I could not put the cursor on the
page to continue my document from the first page. I inserted three (3)
pages after typing page 1 when I as not automatically sent to a page 2. I
can see the pages at the bottom of the screen and when i click on one of the
pages, it displays but I am not able to continue my work.

What did I do wrong?

You do NOT type a document using PowerPoint. You type a document using
Word. PowerPoint is a means to convey information by providing merely a set
of bulleted points and graphics to get your point across. Sounds like you
might have been typing in the Notes page of your slide.

What exactly are you trying to type up? Do you have Microsoft Word
(word-processor)?

Dear Miz Cathy G,

When typing in PowerPoint, each slide is like a page of a document.
However, unlike a wordprocessing program such as Word, when typing your
document in PowerPoint, it will not automatically continue to the next page.
You have to manually continue typing by actually going to the next slide and
placing the cursor where you want the next page to begin.

As your previous replier stated, PowerPoint is usually not the ideal program
for typing documents. However, that is a general statement. I've created
numerous PowerPoint presentations that contain a lot of text in document form
which necessitated different pages to be typed similar to what it seems
you're doing.

Without knowing exactly what type of document or presentation you're trying
to create, It will be difficult and inefficient for anyone to help you
further. If you tell me what you are trying to accomplish, I can easily help
you complete your project
:).
