Good afternoon Davey -
The good news is that under Macintosh OS's before OSX you can adjust the application memory.
Make sure that Excel is closed -
Locate the Excel Icon (not a shortcut) - select it so that it is highlighted.
Go to the File menu - select Get info
In the list - select memory
Change only the PREFERRED memory and set it to a value - try 30720 (Increments of 1024)
Close out of the dialog - Start Excel by double clicking the EXCEL icon - open your file
If you still get the same problem -
Reset the memory again - 40960
If you get to 51200 and still have the problem - you may have to look at some other things.
You may want to try starting EXCEL while holding down the SHIFT key - This will keep Excel from
loading add-ins and files in the Startup folder - then try opening your file.
Please let me know if you need further help or need more information.
Thanks,
Jon Barchenger
