I recently installed Office 2003 and then tried to reinstall Photo Editor
from my old Office XP CD, per the posted instructions on Microsoft. However,
the Office XP is an upgrade and the install program won't let me get past
entering my name and product code. It says it can't find a qualifying product
and then shuts down the installation process. I looked at the qualifying
products listed for upgrading to Office XP, but I do not have any of those
programs installed on my PC. I KNOW I was able to use the upgrade CD
orginally because I've had this PC for 4 years and have been using Office XP
all this time. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

You must have had a qualifying Office product CD
originally if you installed the "Upgrade" version
of Office XP.

Photo Editor is removed when you install Office 2003

Hi Cyndi,

If the qualifying products for use of the upgrade product are not installed on the PC you can use the CD from one of those products
during the upgrade setup run (without installing the qualifying product).

Thanks, Bob. I found my Office 97 CD from an older PC and it worked just by
sticking it in my DVD drive.
