I have Publisher 2000. How do I open later Publisher documents?

I have purchased Pulisher 2000 and have just been asked to run a magazine but
all the templates are from later Publisher programs.............just keep
getting a message "cant open documents from different Publisher versions".
can I get an update or anything to allow me to open the files.

You're screwed. You should immediately take back Pub 2000 and exchange
it for Pub 2003. Otherwise you won't be able to open anything except
2000 and earlier version Pub files.

p.s. why did you purchase Pub 2000 and not 2003 in the first place?

Then he could have purchased Publisher 2002, which allows seamless opening
of files from Publisher 2003.
