i have saved my 2 works on same name and it would not let me ope.

What version of Project? Standalone of connected to the server?
What exactly did you do?
What do you mean with 'works'? Project plans (.mpp files)?
How did you save them? Same folder? Same file name?
Error messages and when they occur?
