I would like to be able to use Outlook with my Windows XP home eddition
software. Can it be "added-on"? The software that came bundled with my Dell
only had Outlook Express. I would like to be able to sync with a handheld
device that needs Outlook.

Microsoft Outlook Express is a free email program that is included with
Microsoft Internet Explorer. Microsoft Outlook is a more advanced email
program that is included with Microsoft Office, but it is not free. You can
get Outlook by purchasing and installing Office 97, Office 2000, Office XP,
or Office 2003.

Outlook 97 will not synch with most PDAs.

To the OP, your PDA (if a PocketPC) should have come with a copy of Outlook
included in the software.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, garfield-n-odie asked:
