"I lost a contacts file in microsoft office outlook"

Barbara Samson

For two weeks I have been trying to sync my new Blackberry to my microsoft
office outlook. Finally, everything works, BUT, I have somehow lost a
contact file named "homestay". I found Accounts in business contact manager
and Business Contacts in business contact manager, but the "homestay" file is
lost somewhere. It is a contact file, not a business Contact File. I have a
backup harddrive but it just shows me "outlook pst", not the actual outlook
file broken down. I have three hairs left on my head....i pulled the rest
out over the past two weeks. Someone! Please help! I've tried everything.
Please save my last three hairs and what is left of my mind!

"Open" the backed up .pst file using Outlook's File->Open->Outlook Data
File. Browse to the .pst file and double click on it. It will appear in
your folder tree - expand the tree using the + sign - browse to the Contacts
folder and find the contact. Drag it to your active contacts folder, then
close the .pst file.

(Note - perhaps my intro line should say something like "while trying to
save the last 3 hairs on a rapidly depleting scalp supply" - what do you
think?)

Thanks Milly, I tried that but what I have there is a list of various .pst
files that when opened in the folder tree, have the correspondence but no
contacts files. Any other ideas. Thanks Barb
