I need to build a custom report or filter.

I'm running 2002 Standard. Currently tracking 30 projects using a master
project and a shared resource pool. During our weekly meeting I want to
provide to each resource a handout with just their tasks sorted by date range.
I found under "more filters" "Resource By Date Range".
The problem is you have to manually enter the resource name for each and
type in the date range.
Is there a way to customize a report to make this easier? Maybe with pull
downs for the resource and date range.

Dennis,
There are various ways to approach this type of report and one of them
might be some customized fields with pull downs but I doubt that would
be any easier or quicker than applying a filter. If you want the whole
thing automated, your best bet is to use a VBA macro. A macro could
easily cycle through each of the resources and print out a
individualized task sheet for any range of time.

Something you might want to try if you don't have VBA experience, (or
don't know anybody who does), is to use the Resource Usage view and set
manual page breaks for each resource. Then apply the Date Range filter
and print. You will still have to enter the dates for the filter but you
won't have to do anything with resources.

Hope this helps.
