I need to replace text after animating it

I'm doing a presentation where you ask a question with blanks( such as you
are a G__ _ _ _ P _ _ _ _ _!)
When I click it to animate it I would like the text to change to You are a
Great Person!
How do I do this?!?!?!
Thanks in advance....

What version of PowerPoint are you using? In 2002 or 2003, you could use
entry and exit animations to have one set of text leave while the other
comes in. If you really want to change the text (even though animation can
be made to look like the text is changing), you will have to use VBA.

If you have already inserted the text "G_ _ _ _ P _ _ _ _ _",
add one text box and enter "REAT", and make another textbox, entering "ERSON".
Drag these two textbox over the "G_ _ _ _ P _ _ _ _ _", so that it "REAT"
and "ERSON" looks as if they are underlined.

Select these two textbox and add an entrace effect (fade).
Now there should be two textbox animated. Under the Custom Animation, the
first animation should be an On Click setting, while the second one is "With
Previous".

Blatant ad for my services coming...
I have a sample presentation available for this situation (works in PPT 2002
and later). The presentation shows you how to do this with the animation
timeline and with triggers.

It is available by email for a very small fee. If you have an Ingenio
account, you can click the button on the front page of my site. If you
don't, you can email me and I will send it with a PayPal invoice. To email
me, unknot my address.
