Ed, Interesting comment regarding the Clipboard. I have used the clipboard
regularly for my monthly Publisher Newsletters for our computer club since
March 2001. Using Publisher 2000 and later 2003. Each is subsequently
converted to pdf for distribution. http://www.myscacc.org/newsletters.htm

The Clipboard can be a useful tool, but it can also sometimes confuse
Publisher; particularly when pasting from Web sources (IE). Instead of
embedding the file, Publisher will create a link to the file in the web
cache, and will then complain when it can't find the file in question later.

Ed, Thanks for the reply. I now see where others have run into problems.
Most of my images in the Clipboard are from SnagIt. If I am to copy and
paste from a Web site, I use PureText to strip all formatting from the
contents of the Clipboard. I want to do the formatting my way...
If it is disappearing, it may be there but buried under other layers. If you
go to arrange, and send the top layers to back several times you may find the
imported image.
