I need help my computer has Microsoft Office Small Business 2000 Edition on
it but I don't really use it. I use Internet Explorer for my browser and
yahoo and hotmail for my e-mail accounts. I would like to remove Microsoft
Office Small Business 2000 Edition but I don't know if this program is a
requirement in order for my computer to work. ( I don't know much about
computers) Will removing it harm my computer? I have Windows XP so will
removing it harm windows in anyway? I want to remove it to clear up space on
my computer. Can anyone give me some answers I feel so stupid when it comes
to this stuff.

Are you certain you don't use any of the elements of Small Business?
This is what is included in Small Business
Microsoft Word 2000
Microsoft Small Business Tools 2000
Microsoft Publisher 2000
Microsoft Excel 2000
Microsoft Outlook 2000
Microsoft Small Business Bookshelf, Small Business Financial Manager, Direct Mail
Manager, Customer Management Application, and Shared ClipArt

You should be able to remove this from the control panel, "Add or Remove Programs."

Isn't Office 2000 the version that people who don't have the disc are having
difficulty uninstalling?

I think I'd keep Office and look to see what miscellaneous files could be
removed. Such as .jpgs, .mp3s, etc.
