icons for products not showing up

Mary

I have a new computer that I have installed my copy of Office 2000
Professional on. My problem is that in any view of files or the shortcuts to
start the program, the icons show up as blank little squares instead of the x
box for excel or w for word etc. I have no idea why. Does anyone else know
of why and a possible fix for this issue?

I am running Windows XP Professional service pack 2. We have other
computers and no issues
