Image Problems

Using Word 2002 on Windows XP, my images don't show! I have checked the
correct boxes under Options/View etc. They did show in my old Word 2000
programme, but not in Word 2002. Also, when saving the documents to Pdf, the
images now look terrible, and print badly...

Can anyone PLEASE help?
