Image sizing issue

Hi can anyone advise why when i insert a 69k jpg picture into a slide, the
size of my Powerpoint presentation grows to by 10MB !!

Hi,

Probably pasted out of an application as ole (object linking and embedding),
by simply pasting. Try paste special, and as png as see if that makes any
difference.
