Images no longer preview

For the past few days of using Publisher 2003 I have noticed the images I
insert no longer appear in my designs and in print preview. This has started
happening after Office SP3 downloaded and installed followed by SP2 for
Office. I don't know if the SP2 forced a roll-back on the installation or
not. Is there any way I can fix the problem or should I force SP3 back in
place on top of SP2?

There is no Office 2003 SP3. You probably installed Office XP SP3, followed
by the recently released Office 2003 SP2.

Have you checked the options under View > Pictures?

I decided to run publisher by having it open one of my previous projects and
do the View>Pictures command while leaving MSN browser open and the images
were already showing before accessing the menu selection. All other times of
using Publisher I did not have the browser open. I am wondering if having the
browser open had made a difference, which I doubt a small amount. By the way,
I do remember installing the latest service packs to Office XP and Publisher
2003 long before AutoUpdate attempted to install them again. My system must
be running rollback on some of the Office library files.

Speaking of having 2 versions of Office products on my system, I would like
to know if the shared dll's could be having a fit between the 2002(XP) and
2003 suites.

The latest update for Office 2003 was SP1 until a week or so ago, when SP2
was released.

I doubt it, although it may be possible.

Have you tried turning down the hardware acceleration on your graphics
adapter?

The graphics accelerator was turned down the first time I had problems with
Publisher. I was do to running a manual install of SP1 rather than running
the Auto installer on the Office Update site. Removing the program then
reinstalling it fixed it at that time. The first install resulted in the
program restarting itself everytime I starting to make a change in the
documents I was attempting to create. To this day I don't know what caused
Publisher to start working properly again, it could have been an auto update
from my video card driver's control center that checks the manufacturers site
periodically. The video card I use is an ATI Radeon X750.
