Images=security hazard?

Well actually they are when they come from the web rather than from the mail
itself. When it comes from the web they can trace the existance of your
e-mail address by the way you are retrieving the image. Once they know your
address exist they can put it in a database and sell it for spamming
purposes or use it to start the speading of virusses. For this reason
Outlook 2003 will block pictures from the web by default.
