Import File / First Line Has Date Info

My data file that isbeing imported looks like this:

H04142011 04142011
A A A000000140000000010000000268OSTK
A A P000000090000000011000000073OSTK
A A Z000000026000000010000000026OSTK
A A B000000013000000000000000045OSTK
A A W000000021000000000000000021OSTK

The first line has the date.

I am setting up a macro to import the file - Transfer Type "Import
Fixed Width".

When importing, I would like to either:

- use the first line to populate a "date" field in my table or
- discard the first line when importing

I went through setting up the Specification but did not see see an
option to do either of the above.

Is there a way to do this ?
