Paul Smith

Folks,

my project manager does all the planning with Microsoft Project.and I have
to
add my tasks manually to my Outlook. Is there a way to do this
automatically?

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Paul,

I don't believe there is an automatic method of transferring Project tasks
to Outlook outside of Project Server. Sorry.

Through exporting from Project to Excel and then importing the Excel data
into Outlook it may be possible. It is probably most likely possible through
VBA, but I am afraid that is outside my skill set.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

You could convince the PM to try the 3rdparty app tasklynx (99$s). it
synchronizes
project & outlook tasks. i cant speak to its robustness, features or
mis-features because i havent tried it but it seems to be the way to do
what you want without project server and without trying to roll your
own macros. .
