How do I import an eps file (adobe) into Word. I have tried and nothing
shows up on the page, but the program acts like something is there. I do not
get an errow message and I get boxes indicating something may be there. The
file I am importing is a tansparent file.

Hi Assetprotection,

First off, make sure you don't have 'picture placeholders' checked in
Tools|Options|View.

Even then, whether something shows up in your document depends on the
settings used in the software that created the eps file. Word doesn't
display the 'output' verion of eps files the way it does with other embedded
objects. Instead, eps files can be created with a high-res, low-res or no
embedded image of the 'output' verion, and Word displays that. If there's no
embedded image in the eps file, there's nothing for Word to display, even
though you'll still get a good rendition of the object in the printed
output.

Cheers

Well, thank you. It still does not show up and it does not print. The file
was created by a graphic artist who has not trouble bringing it into word and
printing it. When I to to "insert" "picture" from file it insert a box the
shape of the file but picture and no printouts.

Are you using a postscript printer? eps pictures won't print (and may not
display) on systems not using postscript printers.

Also, check how your options (from the Tools menu) differ from your graphic
artist colleagues' - the answer may lie there somewhere.

Cheers
