Importing Excel into Access 2000

I am trying to import an Excel file into Access 2000 and
get the error message "Disk I/O Error During Read" and it
will not accept my file.

I have imported several Excel files into this database and
never have had any problems before.

Any thoughts?

I have run into the problem in the past when the Excel
file is read only or is corrupted in some way. Have you
tried to import the file to another excel file. Also a
possible problem may be a picture or graph on the
spreadsheet you are trying to import. Just some ideas.
