In mail merge, some labels are dropped

The subject says it all - mail merge for letters works fine, but when merging
to labels, a few of the names and addresses don't come through.

Which version of Word?
What is the data source?
Are you using exactly the same source for letters and labels, and only
dropping addresses on the label merge?
Is there any kind of pattern to the dropped addresses?
Does your label mail merge main document have a { NEXT } field ( <<Next
record>> field) at the beginning of each label except the first?
Are you making any selections in Mail Merge Recipients?

When you say a few, is there a pattern to the missing labels?

Possibly, you have a <<Next Record>> field where one is not required. In a
label type mail merge main document, there should be a <<Next Record>> field
before the first merge field in all of the labels on the sheet EXCEPT for
the first label.

It is a common error to have that field after the last mergefield in all
labels on the sheet in which case, one record will be skipped each time a
new sheet (page) is created during the execution of the merge.
