I am creating a Form letter, in which I need Word to automatically calculate
the date 15 days from the current date and put it into the desired field.

I love the gmayor one it works perfect! Is there an easy way to make it
display 08/09/06 ? Or would you have to rewrite the entire macro?

This is more complex than you might imagine, but it can be done. See
http://addbalance.com/word/datefields2.htm for information on the different
kinds of ways to make a date calculation work. It includes links to
utilities to create the fields and an explanation of different macros that
can be used instead of fields. It also has a link to
www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/showthreaded.pl?Number=249902 which is a document
with various fields already created. Another resource is
http://www.gmayor.com/insert_a_date_other_than_today.htm.

You only need to change one line. Look for the lines

'Date mask below includes non-breaking spaces (Chr(160))
Mask = "d" & Chr(160) & "MMMM" & Chr(160) & "yyyy" ' Set Date format

The first line is a comment, which you can delete or leave alone. The second
one controls the way the date appears. To make it show the format you want,
change that line to

Mask = "MM/dd/yy" ' Set Date format

(assuming you mean to have the month first and then the day).
