Hi,

I use MS Project Pro 2003 & MS Project Server 2003

In my schedule, if there are any inactive resource, when I open schedule,
the MSP show a message box to notify about inactive resource. I can't remove
inactive resource from schedule because of some reason, so How to disable
that message box?

Thanks

In the future, please post your Project Server questions in the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is dedicated to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. To answer your question,
the only way to stop the warning message is to set the Remaining Work to 0h
on the inactive resource's task assignments. The easiest way to do this is
to begin by clicking the Filter pick list, selecting the Using Resource...
filter, selecting the inactive resource, and clicking the OK button. You
will now see only those tasks assigned to the inactive resource.

Next, click Window - Split to apply the Task Entry view and then select the
first task. In the lower pane (Task Form), right-click anywhere in the gray
and select the Resource Work details. In the Task Form, you can now see the
Remaining Work for the inactive resource on the first task. If the inactive
resource has Remaining Work > 0h, then set the Remaining Work to 0h and
click the OK button (if not, click the Next button to go to the next task).
Then select another task in the top pane (Gantt Chart) and repeat this
process for every task to which the inactive resource has Remaining Work >
0h.

When finishded, save and publish the project. Hope this helps.
