Indent Numbered Paragraphs

Word 2002, SP#

I want to type a number/period, press Tab, and automatically indent the
entire paragraph at this tab stop. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to
do this that I've found anyway. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance!

It sounds as if you're referring to a hanging indent, which can be set using
the ruler (see http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/UsingRulers.htm) or in
the Format | Paragraph dialog.

I should add I'm looking for the difference between using the TAB, which
indents the first line of text, and INDENT, which tabs the entire paragraph.
I want to INDENT the entire paragraph after the number.
