Indenting

When I indent several items for a heading I might have
twenty days over the several items but the duration days
on the heading does not jive with the total amount of
days. This happens wether I use work days or elapsed
days. Can anyone give me an understanding of this issue?

Mike,
It doesn't matter how many levels of indention are present. The Duration
of a Summary line is always the difference in Project calendar days
(working days) between the Start date of the first subtask and the
Finish date of the last subtask.
