I am trying to remove some fields when importing a
database using the insert database button. After I have
selected the data source, I click Query Options then
Select Fields. I remove the unwanted fields then click OK,
then Insert Data in the Database window. This brings up
another small Insert Data window that give the option to
insert all records, or records From and To. I have been
leaving the All option selected. When the database is
inserted as a table all the fields are inserted, including
the ones that I removed in the Query Options dialog.
Can anyone tell me what am I doing wrong, or whether this
actually meant to remove the fields? Should I be using the
From/To option in the last window, if so what do I enter
in these boxes? I have left the Include field names box
checked in the Query Options and have not been checking
the Insert data as field option in the final window. I am
using Word 2002. Thanks for your help.
