Insert Excel Worksheet

I am using Powerpoint 2007 and am trying to insert an Excel spreadsheet and
then insert some text below it. I can perform a paste special and insert the
worksheet but I am unable to select the area below the data to insert my
text. Any advice? Thank you for your assistance.
