Inserting a bitmap image as a default return address

I'd like to copy and paste a bitmap image into the default return address box
to customize business envelopes. For some reason, Word will not copy the
image, it only allows me to type text into the box. The Help topics tell how
to customize envelopes, but not how to paste a graphic into the return
address box. Is there a way to do this?
