Inserting a PDF Hyperlink in a word document...urgent help needed.

I am in need of a possible answer and that is: Is it possible to insert a
Hyperlink to a PDF file in a word document, send that document to someone via
email and for them to be able to open the word document, and click on the
hyperlink that is pointing to the pdf file and it opens the reader via
MS-Reader or Adobe's....

Word doesn't care what type of file the hyperlink points to; only whether
the link is accessible. If your PDF is on the net, or on a network that the
email recipient is connected to, and they have a browser set up to view
PDFs, then it will work.

When I insert the hyperlink pointing to the pdf file, adobe just flashes and
then closes really quickly. I am using adobe reader7.0, so I dont know why
it is not opening up and staying open with the link I am pointing to in the
PDF file.

Ah, I think I see the problem. Setting a PDF file as a link target works in
HTML, because Adobe has provided an add-in for Internet Explorer so that the
Acrobat Reader opens inside IE. There is no such arrangement with Word.

I think that a simple hyperlink will not meet your needs. You will need some
code instead. But that might fall foul of the reader's macro security
settings.

Can I suggest that you embed the PDF file in the document instead, so that
the user can double-click on the PDF icon and open the document that way?
