Inserting EPS file into Publisher 2000

I can insert an EPS file into Publisher but I can't see
the image on screen. Can see jpg or gif etc but not EPS.
No error reported, prints OK but I'd realy like to be able
to see the image on my screen.

Check out view, pictures, detailed display, although if you are seeing other images
this probably isn't the solution.
Could be a video driver issue, go to the manufacturer's web site and look around for
a newer driver.

David the reason why you cannot see the EPS is because EPS does not display.
Normally an EPS file will have a low res TIF picture included in the EPS
which displays purely for placement reasons.

If you do not have a Postscript printer, only the low res TIF will print,
not the full resolution of the EPS.
In your case, the EPS pictures you have do not have a low res TIF so they
will print nothing.

As you say the image is printing OK, you must be printing to a Postscript
printer.

How can you say .eps doesn't display, David, they do for me.

Mary EPS only displays if the EPS contains a low res TIF preview, which is
normal.

If the EPS does not contain a low res preview, you will see nothing, just a
place holder.

I mis-spoke when I said it prints ok...it prints to an
Acrobat file, which would make sense in light of what
you've told me.
