What ever happened to double clicking to change a picture
in word? All it does now is formate? Does anyone else
find this a pain - I do not have Publisher at work and
need to create my brochures from Word 2002. I work in
real estate and am continually needing to change pictures.
Can anyone help me or am I dreaming?

"Change a picture" how? Do you mean replace one picture with another,
or crop unwanted areas from the edges of an inserted picture, or change
the brightness/contrast/color intensity of an inserted picture, or ???
What version of Word did you used to use?

2002 just replace it with another picture I do brochures
on each house I have listed. So want to use just 1
brochure and keep changing pictures. One house for
another, one bathroom for another etc. In the older
versions you just doubled clicked on the picture and it
went looking for another one to put in but it only formats
now. Tks for answering so promptly. Appreciate there is
someone there.

Hmmmm... I don't remember any versions of Word that worked like that.
There are several Powerpoint slide layouts in which you double-click on
a picture placeholder to make it look for pictures on your computer.

Anyhow, in recent versions of Word, left-click once on an existing
picture to select it, press the Delete key to delete the picture, then
click on Insert | Picture | From File, and Word will go looking for
pictures in the directory you specify. The new picture will be inserted
exactly where the old one was. HTH.
