Inserting Picture in Header

I'm using Projects 2003 and trying to insert my companies logo in the
header.
I'm using the same file I've created and sized for MS Word. For some
reason using this file in Projects 2003 it takes up the whole page (it
streaches it out). What's happening here and how can I fix it?

It appears MS Project does not have the robust scaling features found in
other products. I just tried what you said with one of the Sample Pictures
and plugged it into a header on MS Project. Although I could somewhat
control the image size by using the "left", "middle" and "right" sections,
the pictue was still too big.

My suggestion would be to use a third party program to resize your image to
a smaller dimension. Repost your scaled version. Use something like Paint,
Photoshop or Fireworks... scaling in Word would just mask the problem.

Even that does not work. The logo I'm inserting was already sized to
be 3 inches wide yet Projects streched it all across the screan.

Make use of the eudcedit tool (found in your system32 folder) and create a
TrueType font character of your logo and use that instead of a picture -
works just fine in apps that doesn't support anything else but text... Excel
springs to mind.
Used this trick as far back as in Project 4.0 for a customer running W95...
ah! Those were the good ol' days!

If I use File>Page Setup>Header>Insert Image I can insert a .gif or .jpg
or.bmp (that's all I've tried). I can see the image but it doesn't have any
handles so I don't appear to be able to resize it..

If I then click "OK" to close the dialog, and then repeart File>Page
Setup>Header the image is still there BUT THIS TIME IT HAS HANDLES ON IT!
Doing this allows me to resize the image (proportionately or
disproportionately).

Something else that seems to work: if I'm inserting an image in the Footer
and I insert it to the LEFT of the Page Number it has no handles. If I then
drag it to the RIGHT of the Page Number the handles appear. Go figure! The
same occurs if I insert it to the RIGHT and drag it to the LEFT.

Hope this helps. Good luck. Martin

(I'm running Project 2003 SP2 on XP SP2)
