Insertions/ Deletions in Linked Table?

Sir/ Madam,

I have a document file containing linked table with MS-
Excel. I want some insertions/ deletions in this linked
table without making amendment in MS-Excel.

How can I preserve the insertions/ deletions in this
table. I want to update link also.

you cant have it both ways. About the closest you will get is to use
some Document_Open code to import the file and apply the set changes,
then have some code in the excel document that stores the list of
edits from the Word session - not at all a walk in the park by any
stretch, rather it is a seething bed of black snakes waiting to bite
you in your process due.
