Install shows old users name

I am trying to install Office XP student on a laptop I
bought from a college friend. She had a version of
office on the laptop before I bought it. She removed her
software (uninstall from control panel). I installed my
Office version with MY key code and name when I got the
laptop. When Office opens it still says her name even
though her software is not on the computer and mine is.
I can use it but would like to show it is registered to
me. (which it is) In the XP opening screen it shows I am
the user.

You have to change some registry username entries which
persisted. The easiest way to find them will be to search
on her name in the registry.
