Installation hangs

I'm trying to install MSOffice 2003 on a computer with Windows XP Home with
SP2. The installation hangs on "Starting cache of cabinets to local
installation source." I've successfully installed on other machines with no
problem, and I don't know why this one would be different.

Any thoughts?

It talks about the procedure the installation goes through - including the
cache of cabinets.
Has the pc you are installing onto previously had office on it or a drive
repartitioned or removed ? - if so I guess there might be an opportunity for
error, as the installaer will cache to a previously used location if it
exists.
There is also a log file created by msiexec, it might have more specific
information about the hang.

Thanks! That actually did help. I deleted the previously cached files, and
then restarted the install. It worked perfectly. I'm still not sure what
caused the cached files to go bad in the first place, but at least it's fixed.
