Installation problems

I am installing FrontPage 98 on an XP - Pro machine. No
troubles. I am now trying to get my web pages previously
created and running. When I try to import the files I have
noticed that I am missing many files. Some of the files
are stored in folders that are not currently a part of the
web. Other files are the top level but not a part of the
main web. Any suggestions?

Import won't bring all of the files, you must open the site and "publish" back to your machine.
However, this requires that FrontPage extensions are installed on the remote location.

Thanks for the help, but...
The page is for FrontPage 2000. I'm running 98. Will the
directions still work? (I plan on getting the academic
version of 2003 shortly.)
Thanks again.

And also keep in mind that a custom install would have to be done of FP 98
on WinXP Pro so the default web server(s) for FP 98 are *not* installed, as
FP 98 uses the MS PWS, or FrontPage PWS, and Win XP Pro uses IIS 5.1 as the
web server. The MS PWS and FP PWS are not supported.
