6 years ago I purchased MS Office 97 and the Powerpoint
97 upgrade. Now I've purchased a new computer with
Office 2003. I'm trying to load my Powerpoint 97 and I'm
getting a message saying that it cannot find any
qualifying software needed to load this. I would think
that office 2003 would qualify as did office 97. Any
help would be appreciated.

Steve,

From your post ... your version of powerpoint 97 is an upgrade. Upgrades,
upgrade an older version. Therefore it cannot find an older version. Do you
still have any original discs for office or powerpoint that are a lower
version than 97? As this is what the install software is looking for.
