installing Office 200 upgrade edition

I am trying to install the upgrade edition on my computer. I already have
Microsoft Works 7.0, which qualifies me for the upgrade. I had it installed
once, but I had to reformat my computer and now for some reason I can't
reinstall it. It brings up an error saying that it can't find a "qualifying
product" installed on my computer.

Any suggestions?

When it wants the qualifying product, you will have to put the Works CD in
and point to it. (Please do not use your index finger to point. That won't
work.)

If you reformatted and removed Works 7.0 from your system...then it
won't find it and won't be able to verify that you qualify for the
upgrade version. Reinstall Works and then upgrade.

Dian - it is not necessary to install Works 7, just put the CD in when asked
for the qualifying product. Office will "see" it and away it will go.
Saves times and is a lot easier.

wasn't sure if Works would work that way, too.
