Dian - it is not necessary to install Works 7, just put the CD in when asked
for the qualifying product. Office will "see" it and away it will go.
Saves times and is a lot easier.

After furious head scratching, Dian D. Chapman, MVP asked:
| If you reformatted and removed Works 7.0 from your system...then it
| won't find it and won't be able to verify that you qualify for the
| upgrade version. Reinstall Works and then upgrade.

|| I am trying to install the upgrade edition on my computer. I
|| already have Microsoft Works 7.0, which qualifies me for the
|| upgrade. I had it installed once, but I had to reformat my computer
|| and now for some reason I can't reinstall it. It brings up an
|| error saying that it can't find a "qualifying product" installed on
|| my computer.
||
|| Any suggestions?
