Gee Gordy, maybe it has to do with the fact that it is

close to impossible to get actual help from Microsoft for
most any issue; regardless how common the problem! How
easy do you find answers to issues without going three to
five layers into a FAQ? Wouldn't it make sense to have
the solutions easily found? That way, users could
actually USE their machines to do work, instead of using
much patience, becoming overly frustrated./... And for
what?, so it appears the problem is unique to few
machines? Or to sidestep admission of any responsibility?
Have YOU recieved your voucher for settlement of the
Monopoly over Sun trial decision?, niether have I. Here's
an OFFICE question; Upon attending ALL-day conference for
the magic of Office Pro 2003, attendees were to recieve
FULL version of complete program. Well it installed fine,
once! But with all the recent and current problems to
catch-up with the flaws found daily in XP (windows pro
that is), it has become necesary to reload os more than
once, also requiring re-install of programs; well guess
what; upon re-installation of Office ( which is
incompatible so far with many printers (has a problem
jamming up printer's memories) ), it now says I've
installed it my one allowed time when trying to activate
it, AND will not allow the activate by phone option where
the whole scenario could be explained and new activation
code entered. So, let's all estimate how much time is
spent patching, repairing, reworking, registry hacking,
restoring (also now a big issue), etc, etc; on an
average, then multiplky that by users who actually try to
keep their machines up-to-date, working, usable, instead
of just turning it off and leaving it off, feeling
inadequate to run a computer and too embarrassed to
mention it. Now, go back and ask again that poor Susan
just trying to use a machine she has spent hard-earned
cash on, ran into an issue not all that uncommon, took
the trouble to search out a solution on her own, came to
this forum (posting in a fashion understandable to
others), just to have you belittle her with your "Oh so
Macho" / "Why are you wasting MY time with this trivial
Post?": "what has That got to do with Office(in the most
meek voice)"? The question jumps out, "Why, Gordy, are
you replying to her post if it is in fact too trivial?" I
believe you owe her an apology and I would like to know
if I'm out of order or possibly there are others that can
see my point> "Wherw, sorry but I'm getting to that point
which I KNOW you'all can understand"! ROGER
