internet email setup

Running Outlook 97 under W98SE. Switching from AOL to
cable internet, and want to set up Outlook for email.
MS knowledge base says to go to Services and put proper
information in Internet mail options.
However, internet mail option is not there, nor does it
show up as an option when I choose Add.
Any suggestions?

Have you installed the Internet Mail Enhancement Patch? See if you can
follow the instructions in the following MSKB article -- it's written
for Outlook 98, but it should work for you if the IMEP is already
installed (which could be the reason you aren't able to add an Internet
Mail service).

Thanks. I was able to find, download, and install IMEP
and am now fully operational.
