Is negative slack time added to finish date?

Rookie Question. I have a schedule that shows a finish date with negative
slack time on the overall summary. Does this mean that I add the slack time
to the finish date to come up with the true finish date?

You are absolutely correct. If you remove any of the constraints and
deadlines the schedule will no longer be constrained and the finish will move
to the proper date.
