Hi, what i want to be able to do is use my mouse (as a pen) to draw some
sqwiggly lines or whatever in my word document. Now the drawing tools
available in word consist of drawing a line, circle, rectangle etc... but
where is the "pen" ? What do i need to be able to draw (much like in
mspaint) within word2003? I do not want to import graphics files. What
options do i have?

thanks!
tjones.

hi again i know there is a scribble tool in AutoShapes > lines > scribble,
but this is ineffective as once i stop pressing the mouse button down it
finalises what i have drawn which is a bit silly. How for instance can i
draw a "X". What it does is that when i draw the "\" is finalises that
drawing, then i need to select the scribble tool again to draw the "\" over
the "/". Is there no solution out there that allows me to draw some
scribbles.

It would be great to see something like being able to hold down the left
mouse button to draw. Let go of it, and start drawing elsewhere in the
frame.

Any help/tools most appreciated
cheers,
tjones

what i meant to say was...

when i draw the "/" is finalises that drawing,
then i need to select the scribble tool again to draw the "\" over the "/".

Hi T.,

When you bring up the Autoshape=>Lines tool, you
can drag the line shapes submenu off on its own
(breakaway). Once it's pulled away, when
you double click the scribble icon rather than
single click it you can reuse the tool. Also,
there is an optional instal drawing pad you may be able
to use by adding the alternative input features from
the Microsoft Office or Word 2003 listing in Add/Remove
Programs in the Windows control panel.

thanks, beautiful! Just what i wanted!

Inclusive I turned off "Automatically create drawing canvas when inserting
autoshapes" and I love it! wow thanks again! :O)

Tried this also - thanks! But its a bit bloated with all the
speech/recognition tools that comes inclusive. But great to know! Ill try it
out one day and see if its any better than dragon naturally speaking.

Cheers,
