Is there a Projects template for residential contrators?

I am looking in the a Project Scheduler and thought Project was one of the
leaders. Is there a template for residential contractors so that I don't
have to reinvent the wheel to get up and running and start scheduling?

There are various templates that come with MS Project, but they are rarely
useful. For every project you should start with the list of deliverables and
sub-deliverables and then add all tasks necessary to complete them. This
makes for a much better schedule focussed on what will make your project
successful rather than make some else's project successful!!
