Is there any known way to use Outlook Today as Windows desktop?

I would like to use the Outlook Today screen as my windows desktop. I
currently use Outlook 2003 but would like this functionality built directly
into my desktop. I am assuming this should be possible using active desktop
but have not been able to create a syncronized version of Outlook Today.
Anyone else try and/or successfully accomplish this? Would greatly
appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks, that is a great start. Is there any documentation about creating a
page like that for myself/my company? The map isn't really important to me,
but showing tasks would be a good addition for us.

As always, any help/feedback/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks for all the help. This looks like it will (between the two sites)
point me in the right direction. You are the King! :)

Ok... I'm being annoying now... and I apologize... but...

We do have some computers in our building that either share Outlook installs
or do not use Outlook at all. Is there a tag or other code that can be
inserted to not add the Outlook Today screen on the desktop if there is more
than one profile or if no profiles are set up? My goal is to have this page
be the mandatory desktop for all PC's (using group policy) so having some way
to "skip" it would be helpful but not essential. Thanks again!

None that I am aware of and the only other thing I can think of is to take a
look at the registry and review what is under:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles

Thanks again for all your help and assistance. I have a pretty good "beta"
right now (although there is more that I want to add, such as integrating a
Microsoft Access form into the active desktop web page) but that is something
I will research later.

Your help has been invaluable. Thanks for your time and patience.
