Is Word or Publisher best for posting a book to the web?

I am preparing a genealogy book for the web. The book has many pictures and
is also text intensive. Which is best for posting to the web?

What do you mean "posting"...for downloading? for viewing?

I'm such a novice! I've not thought about that. If allowing both is not
terrifically complicated, both would be good. Thank you for replying, Rob.

Depends very much on the complexity of your content.

If you have text all the way through, with constant margins and no funky
layout or pictures, then Word is probably easier.

If not, then Publisher may be a better choice.

Either way, outputting to a PDF at the end is the recommended route.
Depending how the viewer's browser is configured, it would then allow
for both viewing and downloading.

Lots of text...Word. If you want to add pix, and layout, I'd use both Word &
Pub...Word for the text, Pub for the layout and pix.
Then for internet...hmmmm. PDF for users to download and maybe display
(you'd need to experiment with displaying PDF, I've done it but not for long
docs. You may even want to look into creating an Ebook (use google for more
info on creating eBooks)
