JPEG to Words

Hello,

I am working on a project for which I need a software that shall take
in a .jpg file (that is basically a scanned paper filled with written
material) and seperate out only the words out for me in that document.
Do you guys know of any Commercial/Open Source softwares available that
shall do this?

I am sure there is stuff around. I do not want to reinvent the wheel.

What version Office? If you have 2003, you can use Microsoft Office Document Imaging.
It will be in your start menu, Microsoft Office Tools.
Most, if not all, documents that utilizes OCR uses the .tiff format. You will have to
convert your document to .tiff and hope for the best.
Do a search for OCR software. There are some shareware and trial applications.
